Headquartered in Covington, Louisiana, Axonn LLC has been committed to the research, development and commercialization of satellite and radio frequency-based hardware for the tracking, monitoring and management of fixed and mobile remote assets since 1985. As the exclusive provider of hardware for the Globalstar Simplex Data Network, there are currently over 150,000 Axonn satellite products in operation worldwide by industrial, commercial and government customers. Our focus is to provide cost-efficient, low power, ultra-reliable, secure monitoring devices that help solve a variety of problems in a variety of markets. Axonn’s commitment has enabled the cost-effective replacement of wire and cable in industrial, commercial and residential applications worldwide and has brought connectivity to previously inaccessible data such as mobile asset tracking.

Dave Biggs has 35 years experience in engineering and executive management. His formal education consists of a BS in Electrical Engineering, Masters in Mechanical Engineering and completion of Harvard’s “Manufacturing in Corporate Strategy” course. Dave’s job titles have included VP Manufacturing, VP Engineering, Sr. VP Product Development and Operations, CTO, and CEO. Dave has established new companies and managed existing companies in the USA, UK, and India.
He had served on the Axonn Board of Directors five years ago until his duties, as CEO of another technology company demanded his full attention. Dave’s focused on technology companies, with particular attention to wireless products, is accompanied by depth and experience in the development and management of intellectual property.
Dave authored the book MAP (Market Aimed Products), which outlines a product development process built around the premise that understanding the marketplace is key to successful new products.
Allain Gagnet has been with Axonn four years, in his current role of Chief Financial Officer for Axonn he is responsible for all of the Finance, Accounting, Business Planning, Budgeting, Manufacturing and Treasury Operations of the Company.
He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Louisiana Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has served in Financial and Operations Management roles in a variety of Company’s focused on Manufacturing, Construction and Gaming since leaving the Accounting Firm of Ericksen, Krentel & LaPorte, CPA’s in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Allain holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Organizational Behavior from Loyola University, New Orleans.
Jon Shapiro joined Axonn LLC in 2006 as the Director of Channel Marketing and Business Development. Jon has held various leadership roles for industry-leading wireless telematics companies for almost 20 years, including Cummins Electronics, Nexiq Technologies, QUALCOMM and Rockwell International. In these positions, Jon has worked with some of the largest carriers in the trailer, rail and truck markets. Jon's experience with state-of-the-art global wireless transportation solutions encompasses development, marketing and sales and deployment.
Jon graduated with a BA in Marketing for the University of Massachusetts and holds an MBA with a concentration in Computer Science from Bentley College.
After serving with honors in Vietnam as part of the US Naval Submarine Service, Walter Debus began his technical career with AT&T Bell Laboratories. where he was involved in the research, design and manufacture of transmission equipment. He received nine patents in various technical areas, including RF circuits and systems; ASIC design; Optical system; and DSP development In addition, Debus has published numerous technical articles nationally and internationally. He is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) as recognized by the international Project Management Institute. Using his PMP background he has successfully managed complex international projects to completion on time and within budget.
After leaving Bell Laboratories as a senior level manager, Debus has worked for medium and small sized startup companies in senior engineering management roles. He holds two Masters Degrees: one in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts and a second in Project Management from George Washington University in DC.
